4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Location
Jubilee Park Light Rail Station

Category(ies)

Meeting at the Jubilee Park Light Rail station from 4:00pm.

From there we can work our way along the Johnstons Creek canal to the harbour foreshore at Rozelle Bay. We will gradually follow the foreshore eastwards around Glebe Point, past the old crane near Blackwattle Bay park, around Blackwattle Point, past the colonnades to the Boathouse.

The route will offer various views of the Anzac Bridge, and no doubt canoes and kayaks on the water, as well as the foreshore and parklands themselves, and across to the CBD as the light gradually passes through the Golden Hour.

Along the way members are encouraged to offer a trial of photo equipment such as lenses or accessories with other members who might be interested in trying them out (already on offer are a fisheye lens and lensbaby (Nikon), and a selection of infrared filters – if light permits). If there is something you are interested in trying why not let us know your camera make/model and the type of lens or filter you’d like to try and see if anyone can help you out, or if you have a lens let us know what it is and we can post it here.

As it is St. Patrick’s Day all the pubs will be very busy so bring along a plate of something to eat to share for a post-photowalk twilight picnic in the park. Note that Jubilee Park is an alcohol free zone.

*Thanks to Ashley Cooper for his image of the ‘Colonnades’ near the boathouse at Blackwhattle Bay, which is our featured image.
