Our first competition for 2014 has been and gone and it was clear that some of our members had been very busy – and creative – during the summer hiatus. In addition to a crowd of the usual suspects, we were joined by one visitor (Rhiannon) and two new members (Tury and Jason). Welcome aboard!

The competition was an Open theme, so there was no shortage of different subjects and styles amongst the 15 Small Prints, 22 Large Prints and 32 Digital images assembled for the evening. Kerry Boytell was on hand to judge our work and did a commendable job of offering advice and feedback. Those who scored Merits for their efforts were Jim (x3), Kevin (x2), Ben (x2), Pat, Ashley and Michael.

Our Members' Choice selection was also a feature of the evening. The images selected for each category are as shown below.
