The end of the year was heralded by our AGM, which had a good turn out and lots of lively debate about the direction of the club for next year. Thank you to everyone who came along, it’s an important night each year for the club and all members have the opportunity to voice their opinion as to what we do. We also got a record number of responses to the survey this year which really helps give the executive committee a deeper understanding of what the members want to see happening next year. One thing that really came out was the desire for us to integrate more feedback nights into our program.

2017 has been a really good year and feedback was very positive about the activities that we offered our members this year. So a big thanks to the executive committee who put in a lot of work to make it all happen. In particular our president Ashley who really does work tirelessly to ensure everything goes to plan. We’ve also been lucky to have Rob on the committee for a number of years as webmaster and competition secretary. He’s given us a world of enthusiasm, great ideas and great sense of humour. Unfortunately, due to other commitments, Rob is stepping down this year and will be missed, a lot. Monica is also stepping down as secretary this year for a well deserved break. She might get one this time, although we can’t quite get rid of her as she still holds the role of past president!

The rather fantastic news is that all the exec committee posts were filled and the club will be continuing on and looking forward to another great year next year. We are pleased to welcome Amanda and Jason to the team. So, with Ashley continuing on as president, Ben as treasurer, Thomas as vice-president, Amanda as secretary, Jason as competition secretary and Clair as webmaster we know we have a wonderful team of people to guide us through the year.

There is only one thing left to do this year and that is our xmas dinner and presentation night – see you all there!
