The prospect of a competition with an Open theme drew our members out again last Thursday – a week earlier than usual. Our guest judge Mike Faulkner was on hand to facilitate proceedings and did a fine job of working through the 45 prints (29 Large, 16 Small) and 40 digital images that were presented on this occasion.
After due feedback and consideration Mike awarded 9 Merits, 18 Credits and 11 Acceptances. The Merit winners were Jim (x3), Ashley (x2), Aldo, Michael, Peter and Robert.
The selection for Members Choice was a very difficult exercise with a number of striking images to choose from. Consequently we had a two-way tie in Digitals and a three-way tie in Large Prints. The results were:
