Our last club competition night of the year saw the final selection of Merits made – so entries for next month's annual Top Shot judging are now effectively decided.

There was a good crowd in attendance to see our guest judge – Jim Crew – cast his eye over the images and offer much practical and helpful advice along with his adjudications. The standard was high, with almost as many Merits awarded as Credits and Acceptances combined. Altogether there were 17 Merits awarded – easily the most for any competition this year. Leading the way was Ben with a record 7 Merits, followed by Jim (x5) and Nitish (x2). Jenna, Pat and Kevin O picked up one each.

Our final Members Choice winners for 2014 were:

Large Prints – Jim for Resting Macaw
Digital – Jenna for Victoria Falls
