A Fair Day in Glebe

For the third year in a row the IWPS were an official presence at the Glebe Street Fair. So pleased have the organisers been with our past efforts that this year they not only offered us the usual free spot in the fair, but supplied a complimentary tent for our stall as well. Our stand was well stocked with sale items including a range of prints (some mounted, some framed), cards, postcards and key chains all created by our members. Jim, Aldo and Clair all helped in staffing the stall, processing sales and talking up the benefits of belonging to a photo club, especially ours!

Monica, Ben and Ashley ably assisted in this task, all dropping in from time to time when not roaming around taking photos for the event organisers, who were very pleased with our efforts. By the end of the day we had contrbuted hundreds of images for use in media releases and advertising for next year's street fair.

Meanwhile, back in the stall, we sold four prints (all by Monica) and a range of cards and postcards created by our members. More importantly, we collected over 30 email addresses from vistors (and potential new members) who expressed an interest in coming along to see our club in action next year.
