Our first presenter for 2024 will be Len Metcalf.
Len has an long history of presenting to IWPS and we look forward to welcoming him back in 2024 to talk to us about photographic composition.
In this presentation Len takes us through a whole range of compositional ideas about how we read and construct a photograph. These are drawn from the arts in areas much more diverse than the usual photographic rules that are presented in photography texts. This talk has been found to be incredibly inspiring to photographers of all levels.
Len is best known for his sepia monochrome landscapes, trees, flowers and abstract work. His positive, thoughtful and softer creative approach to his photographic practice means that we always leave his presentations full of creative enthusiasm and inspired to push ourselves to do something a little bit different.
